Well its been a little while since our last post, but for good reasons. Our invitations went out recently, but the process it took to get them out the door was quite the adventure. Long story short, the USPS, Zazzle and UPS all suck. Nonetheless, I hope you all received your invites and didn’t have fork over $0.50 to the mail man. Please let us know if you had to pay additional postage via email and we’ll take care of you.
Last week was also our bachelor/bachelorette party. Since we always have a blast with each other, we figured ‘why not party together?’ A big thanks goes out to Rhia, Alex, Ian and Jason for putting everything together. I don’t want to go into much detail yet, we can save that for another post. But for now, here’s a nice photo to give you an idea of what happened.

Hey all! My apologies for boring you all to death by making you stare at the same ol’ blog for weeks. If you’ve ever planned a wedding before I’m sure you can relate to how busy it can get…and for those of you who haven’t had to plan a wedding…DON’T!
Anyhow, what better way to celebrate Labor Day weekend than to work your butts off putting together an amazing Bridal Shower? Thats apparently what a few of my family and friends were thinking when they decided to throw me the most amazing shower anyone could ask for. The theme was “French Countryside”, and the theme was consistent in everything. From the centerpieces, to the crepes for dessert, to the french music playing over our home’s intercom. My family wanted to keep it all a secret so I wasn’t allowed at the house until it was all set up. I was completely blown away by how everything turned out….complete stimulus overload within the first 5 minutes of walking in.
I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came out and joined us for such a good time. A HUGE thank you goes to my Mom and Dad, Jason, Virginia, Tia Delia, Stan, Claudia, and grandparents for all of their hard work. Also thanks to those of you who travelled many miles to come celebrate with me! I look forward to sharing the big day with all of you.

POP! That was the sound of my blog cherry! That’s right, this is my first official blog post on our lovely little wedding site by my lovely little husband-to-be. I apologize to those of you who have checked in with us and week after week had to stare at the same old content. Life has been quite busy for us. No one seems to tell you that this wedding planning business is practically a full time job…even more so when it’s going to be out of town. Nonetheless everything is coming along quite nicely, and let me tell you, you all are in for a seriously good time. Most arrangements have been made, and now its our turn to get our creative juices flowing. By now I hope you all have recieved our Save the Dates. These were designed by Kyle and his graphic design eye. We also printed them ourselves, and added the lace and pearl detail. If you haven’t heard yet, our theme for the wedding is vintage/antique. I’ve been collecting various pieces to add to the decor from secondhand stores and well…Homegoods. I scored big at Homegoods where I found what I had envisioned will be the cocktail table centerpieces. Next on the list is the cake decor. I was blessed with a crafty hand and will be putting it to the test. Keep checking back with us as we get closer and closer to the big day! Here is a sneak peak at an awesome Homegoods find that goes with our decor perfectly.

One of the best opportunities to have while planning a wedding is to actually attend one. You get to see things from a different perspective. That way you can figure out the things you would or wouldn’t do for your own wedding.
Melissa and I were privileged enough to attend the marriage of Matt Manzari and Bobbye Stewart. We had a killer time and I even danced my butt off. The 2for1’s across the hall definitely aided in my dancing feet. Before the night was over we snapped some photos in the photobooth. These things are a blast at weddings and a must-have in my book… hint hint.
